(Caesalpiniaceae). The highly effective for delayed wound healing due to diabetes. Background: (CO) extensively used in folklore medicine system. It common weed scattered foothills Himalayas West Bengal, South India, Burma Srilanka. Objectives: study aimed explore role (leaf) potential diabetic rats using excision model. Materials Methods: characterization phytoconstituents bioavailability profiles methanolic extract CO (MCO) were investigated High-Performance Liquid Chromatography-Photodiode Array Detector analysis. Insulin resistance was induced by feeding them diet rich fructose hyperglycemia injecting streptozotocin (STZ) at dose 40 mg/kg body weight (bw), intraperitoneally (ip). After confirmation diabetes fasting blood glucose level, induced. Excision activity examined Wistar rats. Results: MCO (5 10%) reduced significantly size. Significant mean epithelialization period, higher hydroxyproline content tensile strength revealed concentrations 5 10% compared control group. Conclusion: These results provide promising baseline information type-2 treatment. Keywords:Biochemical parameters, occidentalis, Hydrogel, Hydroxyproline, HyperglycemiaView:PDF (906.38 KB)

Compromised Wound Healing in Ischemic Type 2 Diabetic Rats
Ischemia is one of the main epidemic factors and characteristics of diabetic chronic wounds, and exerts a profound effect on wound healing. To explore the mechanism of and the cure for diabetic impaired wound healing, we established a type 2 diabetic rat model. We used an 8 weeks high fat diet (HFD) feeding regimen followed by multiple injections of streptozotocin (STZ) at a dose of 10mg/kg to ...
متن کاملEffect of estrogen on the process of wound healing in diabetic rats
Introduction: Impaired wound healing in diabetic patients is a major clinical problem, which is associated with significant morbidity and mortality. Estrogen has positive effects on neoangiogenesis, reepithelialization and cell proliferation. In this research, effect of estrogen on wound healing in diabetic male rats was investigated. Methods: This study was performed on male Wistar rats (bo...

Delayed wound healing is one of the complications of diabetes mellitus. The present study was performed to investigate the effect of Aloe vera oral administration on open wounds in type 2 diabetic rats. Full thickness open wounds (1.5 × 1.5 cm) were created under general anesthesia on the backs of the rats. These rats were divided into two group, a control group (Group C) and an Aloe vera oral ...

Cassia occidentalis Linn. is extensively used in the indigenous and folklore medicine systems to treat several illnesses. However adequate characterization of hypoglycemic activity of C.occidentalis has not yet been done. The scientific evaluation of its hypoglycemic activity was, therefore, explored and also compared with the effect of a standard hypoglycemic drug, Glibenclamide. In the presen...

and is of very common occurrence in all these provinces. The plant is avoided by all grazing animals, and it is curious, considering how wide its distribution, how seldom poisoning from it is seen.
